Four apps · One coffee operation

A connected
coffee ecosystem.

From the guest's drink choice to the people, preparation and records behind it.

The Kalim ecosystem is the four-app system developed by Kalim Innovation Technologies Inc. for Kalim Coffee. Its design connects the customer journey with store operations, employee coordination and authorized business reporting. The first Calgary location remains in preparation; the implemented app workflows are being developed and tested ahead of a real-store pilot.

What connects the four apps?

Kalims · Ordering and membership

A guest selects a store, explores its menu and customizes a drink. Voice ordering offers another way to express that choice. Cart review, payment, order progress, receipts and Drops rewards follow the same purchase.

Kalim · POS and store operations

The confirmed order reaches the store for review, preparation and pickup. Configured recipes, stock receiving, purchasing and operating reports support the work behind the counter. Permissions control sensitive actions.

KalimStaffs · The team

Assigned stores connect employees to schedules, recorded attendance, learning, tips and pay information. Authorized managers review records; payroll approval and actual bank payment are separate steps.

Kalim Invest · Business information

Approved investors can access permitted store information, company updates and plans. Recorded results, cash-ledger activity and forecasts have distinct meanings. Incomplete cost records remain visible.

Follow one coffee order.

  1. Choose the right store. Its menu supplies the available drinks and customizations.
  2. Review the request. The guest checks the drink and total before payment. Voice input does not replace this review.
  3. Prepare and collect. The team sees the order; the guest follows progress. Pickup directions use the store attached to that order when a valid address is configured.
  4. Review the operation. Recorded sales, available recipe costs, reviewed team records and approved expenses inform the appropriate business views.

Why build a coffee ecosystem?

Founder Binh Khiem Nguyen (Kalim Nguyen) brings coffee-shop operating experience into the design. His aim is to make the relationships between drinks, service, people and business decisions easier to follow. Guests, employees and investors receive different views of a connected operation, according to their roles.

POS products can offer substantial features and integrations. Kalim's focus is the operating model it is developing for its own coffee business. Read the detailed four-app workflow for the reasoning behind those connections.

What comes next?

The first store is intended to validate the apps alongside coffee quality and hospitality. Wallet NFC membership and automated bank payroll still require their respective approvals and provider integrations. Robotic preparation is a longer-term development concept. These stages are separate from the current app workflows.
